REC has regular membership meetings every two months.  Elders present their recommendations for membership to the congregation at each member’s meeting. During this meeting, REC members vote candidates into membership. We believe the congregation is the final authority on matters of church membership.

When presenting the candidate for membership, an elder reads their testimony to the congregation.  This gives the congregation the opportunity to ask any questions.  Moreover, this gives the elders and the congregation the opportunity to discuss how the candidate may serve in the congregation and be served.  We consider this the most important time of our member's meetings.
